Glaravans introduces its own caravan model: Wave.

A NEW ERA FOR GLARAVANS – 6 years... Years full of passion, special creations and happy customers. But also 6 years of great challenges, beautiful and difficult periods. Ultimately this led to a new, own caravan model: Wave. A base that allows us to keep doing what we do best: creating the most amazing travel palaces to our beloved customers' tastes.
Our new concept is more accessible, easier and considerably more affordable. In addition, we have not stood still technologically; although the shape may evoke a ‘vintage’ caravan, there is nothing old about this caravan. We also link to the past & our fanbase by making the caravan customizable and modifiable for the first and subsequent owners. 
From idea to execution
We believe the caravan in its concept will remain relevant for many years. That is why we focused on what we do best. Beautiful interiors in a beautiful shell and, where feasible, we used new and proven techniques. This allowed us to develop a sustainable caravan that can be continuously renewed and therefore future-proof, for new and future (second-hand) owners.
One of the biggest challenges in developing this caravan was the shell. At Glaravans we love the freedom to preserve our and your creativity. Conventional caravan construction techniques are insufficient to create this freedom; in current caravans reinforcements are often built into the walls to support the furniture and stiffen the caravan. With that building method we would lose all freedom.
Of course we also want a technically sound caravan that lasts many years. With all developments in the world, there are quite a few requirements; lightweight for electric cars and consumption, good for the environment, a hail-resistant roof for holidays in Italy...
With all these requirements in mind we found the ultimate match. We have a strong outer wall of polyester that is hail- and impact-resistant. The inner walls are made from recycled PET bottles. These provide strength and very good insulation. A smooth inner wall ensures a beautiful finish for the interior, which can be modified as desired. The entire shell is therefore built without wood! We can also guarantee creative freedom; the caravan is fully free to be screwed into. The Wave weighs only 940kg in the base version and may weigh 1200kg in total.
A foundation for many years of camping enjoyment
The interior of the Wave can be shaped entirely to your own wishes and taste. We have put together 22 layouts that serve as a basis for this. We simplified the extensive choices you could make in the past while largely retaining freedom. This way we can still design very different interiors within our caravan model together with you. You can optionally complement the caravan with technical options that fit your camping wishes and thereby create your ultimate travel palace!
The caravan interior is built entirely from wood. This means all walls, furniture, fronts and details are workable. Have you tired of a color or does a potential future buyer not like the interior? No worries; with a brush and roller you can change everything as desired. Damages are also easy to repair.
Technology
Finally, the Wave has a special underfloor heating that can also serve as the main heating. This heating is located under the entire caravan floor and therefore prevents thermal bridges. With a consumption of only 3.5 amps it is also suitable for any campsite. The caravan is camping-ready and largely comes standard with luxury options such as an anti-sway coupling and (door) screens. A few details will still be decided and adjusted during construction of the demo model, but we do not expect major changes.
The caravan base and the vast majority of its options are entirely manufactured in the Netherlands and Europe. Assembly and production will take place entirely in Hengelo.
Introduction & timeline
We expect the demo model to be completed by April at the latest, after which Wave production will start quickly. For this we are currently setting up a new company hall together with a beautiful showroom. Serious interested parties who decide to buy a Wave before 1 March 2026 will receive a introductory discount of € 3500,00.
