About Glaravans

New caravans in the old familiar style. Glaravans are old vintage caravans that have been completely renovated and modernized based on the wishes of our customers. Our Glaravans are all different but share one similarity; they all have a story. We create caravans that combine the best of old charm & new technology. All caravans are handcrafted with great passion so that true travel palaces roll out of our workshop. Glaravans has been around since 2019 and is growing. Due to the increasing demand, we are looking for a new colleague to join our small team.

We are looking for an all-round creative colleague who has diverse interests in various aspects of Glaravan building. You will be involved in the construction of our caravans from A to Z.

The track
As a creative craftsman/woman, you are daily involved in building the caravans. Every workweek is different, and each caravan has its own challenges, and each customer has their own requirements. There are many diverse tasks, partly focused on and suited to what you can do or what you could learn.

• Making a variety of lightweight furniture in round and spherical shaped caravans.
• The upholstery of a caravan.
• Painting, Oiling, Sanding, Filling.
• Small details make and take care of.
• Elektra installation with both 12v and 230v circuits and everything that comes with it.
• Technique installation and setup, from air conditioning to toilets.
• Restoring, repairing, and improving old parts.
• Functional matters conceptualizing and executing.

Job requirements

• You have a passion for a beautiful product and the corresponding finish with an eye for detail. True craftsmanship.
• You have an overview and also practical insight into how things work in practice or you can visualize this well.
• You have a creative and visual ability and can also develop this into an actual product.
• You are flexible and eager to learn and can handle changes, victories, setbacks, but above all a beautiful end result.
• You are not too reluctant to do both the really fun things and the less fun things that come with building a caravan. We are looking for a hands-on mentality.
• You can work with various woodworking machines and tools; we do not have CNCs or other 'modern computer-controlled' technology. You really work and measure with your hands.
• You may already have an interest or some experience in installing electricity, gas, water, and technology.
• You love camping!
